Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Receptionist to join our team at Lindley Medical Practice in Oldham. As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing efficient reception and administrative services, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and visitors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process appointment requests and triage calls in a timely and efficient manner
  • Handle repeat prescription requests and provide test results in accordance with practice procedures
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless coordination of care
  • Manage the reception area, including maintaining a clean and organized environment, and assisting with general enquiries

Clinical and Administrative Duties

  • Maintain knowledge of practice procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of patient records, including filing and retrieving records as needed
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, and maintain the appointment system

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good standard of secondary education, with a demonstrable commitment to professional development
  • Experience in a public reception environment, with proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work in a team, with excellent organizational and communication skills
