How You Will Achieve Success:
- Leadership: Direct a team of project managers, engineers, and construction supervisors to execute large-scale programs on schedule, within budget, and to high professional standards.
- Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors, ensuring project alignment.
- Project Oversight: Manage the complete lifecycle of project execution, including design, engineering, installation, and commissioning.
- Health and Safety Management: Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Make pivotal decisions regarding budget, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Financial Management: Oversee project finances, including payment requests, changes, and subcontractor management, while maintaining ownership of profit and loss.
- Process Enhancement: Promote standardization and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to management, conduct risk assessments, and manage project risks.
- Team Development: Create and maintain development plans for team members, facilitating their growth.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all necessary certifications and licenses are current.
Qualifications We Seek:
- 7+ years of project management experience in the construction sector, with a solid foundation in BMS, control systems, and mechanical & electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
- Experience managing substantial projects typically valued between £3-£5M.
- Strong financial insight and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Proven experience in managing health and safety within a construction context.
- Valid certifications such as CSCS/ECS and SMSTS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in data centers or critical infrastructure settings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the BMS sector.
- Additional certifications such as First Aid and IOSH Safety, Health, and Environment for Construction Site Managers.
