About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation and Behaviour Specialist to join our Behaviour team at Blue Cross. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and facilitating rehabilitation programmes for pets in our care, as well as advising and coaching centre teams on animal behaviour and training techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation programmes for pets in our care, including dogs, cats, and other animals
  • Work closely with centre teams to provide expert advice and guidance on animal behaviour and training techniques
  • Collaborate with Animal Behaviourists to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and behaviour
  • Provide training and coaching to centre teams on reward-based training techniques and animal behaviour
  • Conduct assessments and develop behaviour modification plans for pets in our care
Requirements
  • Proven experience in animal behaviour and training, with a strong understanding of reward-based training techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with centre teams and pet owners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Strong knowledge of animal behaviour and training principles, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Full UK driving licence
