About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Professional to join our team at The Spinney, a service providing care for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness.

As a key member of our staff bank, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms, and visitors' areas.

Working closely with our maintenance team, you will ensure that all areas of the service are spotless and meet the required security standards.

You will enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule, with a competitive hourly rate of £13.50 (including a 12.07% holiday allowance uplift) and weekly pay.

We offer a comprehensive induction program, free meals, and parking, as well as mandatory training to ensure you are fully equipped to perform your role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures.
  • Be an active member of the team, with a range of responsibilities over the day-to-day operation.
  • Maintain excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greet visitors in a professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors, and service users.
  • Help create a positive culture.
  • Undertake any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
  • Attend mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

Requirements

  • Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment.
  • Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done.
  • Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively.
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

About the Service

The Spinney is a purpose-built medium, low secure, and rehabilitation service, set within an 11-acre site with extensive woodland and landscaped areas.

We are proud to work alongside a multidisciplinary team who have been recognised by the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT) for their ability to reinforce positive behaviour, prevent challenging behaviour, and deliver successful interventions in a secure care setting.
