In this full-time role, you will oversee the housekeeping team at a facility dedicated to male patients with personality disorders and/or mental health challenges.

Your responsibilities will include supervising the cleaning operations across various areas, such as wards, administrative offices, patient rooms, and communal spaces. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will provide leadership, guidance, and support to your team while also managing recruitment and performance evaluations to ensure the smooth operation of services.

In this position, you will collaborate with the Senior Management Team to uphold exceptional cleanliness standards. You will have the autonomy to implement effective systems, including organizing cleaning schedules and staffing arrangements to meet the needs of the facility and your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure designated areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Evaluate and adjust cleaning schedules to meet the requirements of the wards and overall facility.
  • Adapt to the dynamic needs of the business while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Manage procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment within budgetary constraints.
  • Follow Infection Control guidelines and complete local audits as required.
  • Utilize cleaning chemicals and machinery in accordance with departmental procedures and safety regulations.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of janitorial supplies.
  • Implement an auditable housekeeping program.

Qualifications:

  • C.O.S.H.H Training certification.
  • Familiarity with Cleaning Industry Standards.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning role.
  • A passion for cleanliness and a commitment to high standards.
  • Effective prioritization of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
