Position Overview: A prominent engineering services organization within the defense industry is seeking a Supply Chain Manager. Candidates should possess substantial procurement expertise in a project, bids, or programs context, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or engineering sectors.

Role Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in enabling the organization to successfully execute large-scale customer programs through proficient bidding, project oversight, supplier coordination, and contract administration.

This position will provide exposure to the complete program/project lifecycle, from the initial bidding phase and negotiation of tailored contractual agreements to the delivery of products/services and ongoing support.

Key Duties Include:

  • Strategic oversight of commodity and service suppliers to support and lead customer bids/programs.
  • Conducting tenders, negotiating, and awarding contracts.
  • Managing contractual modifications as necessary.
  • Translating customer terms and conditions into subcontract agreements executed by the supply chain.
  • Ensuring suppliers meet production and manufacturing timelines.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including procurement colleagues, customers, and suppliers, while working within an integrated project team.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in project, integrated project team (IPT), or program-related procurement activities.
  • Background in procurement or supply chain management within aerospace, defense, or engineering programs.
  • Experience in supporting bid initiatives.
  • Comfortable working with customized contracts.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A strong focus on both customer and supplier needs.
