About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Operations Manager to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of nine managers/leaders who have a total of sixty five employees reporting to them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify areas for improvement and drive change to include culture change initiatives and improving efficiencies.
  • Conduct appraisals, progress training requirements, deal with departmental absences and recruitment activities.
  • Identify and pursue potential commercial opportunities.
  • Carry out monthly Contract monitoring and ensure authority accounts are managed correctly.
  • Ensure departmental operating costs are managed within budget.
  • Compile reports and statistics as requested by the Contract / Operations Managers.
  • Provide assistance to Company bid teams and other Company visitors.
  • Drive change through continually asking 'why' and reviewing where best practice or process amendments can be implemented to add value for the customer and the contract.

Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate to MS Office standard.
  • Driving licence (cat B minimum).
  • People management experience.
  • Management of change within an operational environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  • A Health & Safety qualification i.e., IOSH Managing Safely.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
