Job Opportunity
We are pleased to announce an opening for a Claims Processing Specialist within our Construction & Engineering division. This position is ideal for a motivated individual eager to become part of a well-established team. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to our London City office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of new claims, including receiving instructions, issuing acknowledgments, establishing files, and conducting risk assessments and triaging.
- Collaborate closely with Adjusters to support investigations, claims management, and validation inquiries.
- Oversee the lifecycle of claims files to enhance diary management and facilitate proactive claims handling from initiation to resolution.
- Assist in monitoring Adjuster workloads during their absence.
- Engage with insured parties, insurers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service, acting as a secondary contact when necessary.
- Support the creation of technical reports for Adjusters, adhering to professional standards and internal guidelines within set timelines.
- Contribute to the preparation of co-insurers' apportionment spreadsheets.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards for time reporting and billing processes.
- Develop and produce management information for clients and internal use, including performance metrics and data integrity reports.
- Maintain adherence to company standards regarding all technical and operational policies, including data protection and information security.
- Provide account management support as needed.
- Assist with incoming calls and resolve queries.
- Handle invoicing tasks.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Candidate Profile - Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a claims technician, with a focus on caseload management.
- A strong interest in construction-related insurance matters and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- An organized, methodical, and analytical approach to work, with a strong emphasis on quality.
- Able to manage workload independently while being a collaborative team member.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Motivated to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Willingness to travel as required.
