Job Summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young adults with varied Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 or group basis with their learning development and care needs while at school.
  • Assist with personal care, feeding, moving, handling, and life skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support pupils' educational and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Experience or willingness to assist with personal care.
  • Experience with PECS or Makaton.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other support staff.
