Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of Technical Building Safety Managers, Assistants, and Apprentices to ensure building safety compliance.
  • Oversee building safety investigations and major remedial works, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Work with contractors to resolve fire risk actions quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure new buildings are free of safety defects and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Provide expert technical support to our Development and Technical Quality teams on design and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Building Safety Directorate and other colleagues to reduce the number of high-risk buildings in our portfolio.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in project management, particularly with residential developments, design standards, and contractor management.
  • In-depth understanding of the planning system and laws to ensure compliant schemes.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in surveying, building, or a related field, and a professional qualification.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team, ensuring performance excellence.
  • Strong organizational and driving skills to manage projects effectively.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills to build rapport and drive change.
