Position Overview

The Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Facilities Support Specialist to enhance our Facilities, Capital & Estates Departments. This role is pivotal as we embrace technological innovations and reimagine our processes to provide an exceptional customer experience.

The responsibilities will be diverse, engaging, and demanding, necessitating creativity and adaptability. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic and multifunctional team, serving as a central point of contact for all Facilities, Capital & Estates inquiries across the organization. The Facilities Support Specialist will streamline access to our services, thereby improving the experience for both our external clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be tasked with receiving, interpreting, and managing a high volume of varied inquiries and requests, often with competing priorities and timelines. Utilizing innovative and user-friendly digital systems, they will ensure the delivery of clear and efficient services to all stakeholders.

They will prioritize and distribute requests effectively, employing strong customer service communication skills to manage expectations.

The Facilities Support Specialist will actively contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices, playing a crucial role in ensuring that our service remains innovative and aligned with industry trends. This position is essential in supporting the establishment of a proactive and responsive customer support service that is central to the success of our multifunctional Facilities department.

Additionally, the role requires expertise in customer support systems, adjusting resources according to varying demands, and collaborating with Facilities teams to anticipate service needs.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of calls.
