Role Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team as a Manager. The role will involve:
Overseeing the delivery of corporation tax compliance services for a diverse portfolio of clients, collaborating with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners on larger accounts.Participating in tax advisory initiatives, providing insights closely linked to compliance matters, including controlled foreign companies and corporate interest restrictions, as well as supporting ad hoc advisory projects.Managing tax accounting responsibilities and collaborating with Senior Managers and Directors on tax reporting tasks.Keeping clients informed about emerging corporate and broader tax developments that may affect their operations.Supervising junior staff members and offering coaching to aid their professional growth.Reporting to Directors and Partners on client account management, ensuring adherence to quality and risk management protocols and financial oversight.Assisting leadership in identifying business development opportunities.The position encompasses a blend of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory responsibilities, with flexibility in allocating time based on your expertise and interests.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent.Experience in UK corporation tax.A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a positive demeanor that resonates within the team.An inclusive and collaborative approach, treating colleagues, clients, and the broader community with respect.Insightful problem-solving skills, effectively applying knowledge to business and client challenges.Strong communication abilities, characterized by openness, honesty, consistency, and clarity.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Robust analytical capabilities, curiosity, and a commercial mindset in addressing issues and providing guidance.Effective project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and take initiative to advance projects.Capability to manage multiple clients, projects, and relationships simultaneously.A commitment to developing and mentoring junior team members.A dedication to continuous skill enhancement and technical knowledge development.
