Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team as a Manager. The role can be based in various locations within Scotland. Given the diverse nature of our client base and the services we offer, you will have the chance to influence how you allocate your time. Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the delivery of corporation tax compliance services for a portfolio of clients, collaborating with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners on larger accounts.Participating in tax advisory initiatives, providing insights related to compliance work, such as controlled foreign companies and corporate interest restrictions, and assisting with ad hoc advisory projects.Managing tax accounting responsibilities and collaborating with Senior Managers and Directors on tax reporting activities.Keeping clients informed about emerging corporate and broader tax developments that may affect their operations.Supervising junior staff members and offering coaching to facilitate their professional growth.Reporting to Directors and Partners on client account management, ensuring adherence to quality and risk management protocols and financial oversight.Supporting leadership in identifying business development opportunities.The role encompasses a blend of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory tasks, with flexibility in the distribution of time among these areas based on your expertise and interests.
Candidate Profile
Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent.Experience in UK corporation tax.Demonstrates high energy levels, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude that resonates within the team.Exhibits an inclusive and collaborative approach, treating colleagues, clients, and the wider community with respect.Applies insights effectively to address business and client challenges.Communicates clearly and consistently, fostering open and honest dialogue.Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrates strong analytical abilities, curiosity, and a commercial mindset in problem-solving and advisory roles.Exhibits strong project management capabilities, working effectively within a team and taking initiative to advance projects.Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and relationships simultaneously.Effectively mentors and develops junior team members.Committed to continuous professional development and enhancing technical knowledge.
