Position Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team as an Assistant Manager. This role can be based in various locations, providing a chance to gain extensive experience across a diverse client portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a primary contact for a portfolio of clients regarding daily tax matters, collaborating closely with Managers and Senior Managers.
- Assisting in the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services.
- Contributing to tax advisory projects by providing insights on UK corporation tax, conducting research, and collaborating with other tax areas and international member firms.
- Keeping clients informed about emerging corporate and broader tax developments that may affect their businesses.
- Supporting the execution of tax reporting and audit tasks.
- Overseeing the work of junior staff and providing mentorship to facilitate their growth.
- Assisting Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, ensuring adherence to quality, risk management, and financial protocols.
- Contributing to business development initiatives alongside leadership.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent.
- Experience in UK corporation tax.
- Strong analytical skills to identify core issues and evaluate information.
- Effective communication skills, demonstrating openness, honesty, and clarity.
- A high level of motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude under pressure.
- Accountability for managing personal workload and prioritizing tasks.
- A commitment to continuous learning and seeking feedback for personal development.
- The ability to coach junior staff, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.
