Position Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team as a Manager. The role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including:
Overseeing the delivery of corporation tax compliance services for a portfolio of clients, collaborating with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners on larger accounts.Participating in tax advisory initiatives, providing insights related to compliance matters such as controlled foreign companies and corporate interest restrictions, along with assisting on various advisory projects.Managing tax accounting tasks and collaborating with Senior Managers and Directors on tax reporting assignments.Keeping clients informed about emerging corporate and broader tax developments that may affect their operations.Supervising junior staff members and offering coaching to facilitate their professional growth.Managing client accounts and reporting to Directors and Partners, ensuring adherence to quality, risk management, and financial protocols.Supporting leadership in identifying business development opportunities.
The role will involve a blend of tax compliance, reporting, and advisory work, with flexibility to adjust the focus based on your expertise and interests.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
Qualification as a CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent.Experience in UK corporation tax.A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude that resonates within the team.An inclusive and collaborative approach, treating colleagues, clients, and the broader community with respect.The ability to apply insights and knowledge effectively to business and client challenges.Strong communication skills, characterized by openness, honesty, consistency, and clarity.Excellent analytical skills, curiosity, and a commercial mindset for problem-solving and advisory roles.Proficient project management abilities, demonstrating teamwork and initiative to advance projects.The capacity to manage multiple clients, projects, and relationships simultaneously.A commitment to developing and mentoring junior team members.A dedication to continuous skill enhancement and technical knowledge growth.
