Job Overview

As a Tax Compliance Assistant Manager at Verisk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the corporate finance team with tax compliance and related accounting responsibilities for the company's non-US operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory account tax provisions for UK companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support with Indirect tax compliance for EMEA and APAC countries, including:
    • Preparing data for external tax advisors
    • Performing the first review of VAT/GST returns
    • Preparing VAT/GST reconciliations under US GAAP and local GAAP, and preparing adjusting journals
    • Managing VAT/GST payments
  • Support with corporation tax compliance for non-US countries, including:
    • Preparing data for external tax advisors
    • Performing the first review of corporate tax returns
    • Managing corporation tax payments
  • Support with the preparation of the UK PAYE Settlement Agreement return and other employment tax filings as needed
  • Support with other tax compliance and administrative processes for the wider Tax department as needed

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in tax compliance or a related field
  • Accounting or tax qualification (CA, ACA, CTA, ACCA)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) with strong data manipulation capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform self-review to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Quick learner with good organizational and oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate across various teams
  • Effective documentation, teamwork, communication, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to complete work within deadlines
