We are on the lookout for a lively and engaging individual to become part of our team. Our organization provides a diverse range of support services to individuals with additional needs, encompassing both residential care and activity-based day services.

Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. We provide a comprehensive training and induction program for all new team members.

As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team. Each day presents unique challenges and responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, medication management, and meal support.
  • Accompanying and aiding individuals within the service, as well as at external events and appointments.
  • Promoting a Person-Centered approach, fostering independence for our clients, and helping them achieve their personal goals.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records.

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
  • A flexible and creative approach to working with clients and their families.
  • Experience in personal care is advantageous but not essential.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work within scheduled hours and participate in an on-call rota if necessary.
