Reader Volunteer for Person We Support

We are seeking a dedicated and patient individual to assist a person with a visual impairment in learning to read. As a Reader Volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping this person achieve their goal of becoming literate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one reading support to the person with a visual impairment
- Assist with reading materials and provide feedback to help the person improve their reading skills
- Be punctual and reliable in attending sessions
- Respect the person's confidentiality and data protection
- Participate in safeguarding training and adhere to SeeAbility's policies

SeeAbility is a leading disability charity that specializes in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism who may also have sight loss. We empower individuals to challenge their expectations and achieve their goals.

Requirements:
- Love to read and have a good sense of humour
- Be a good listener and have patience
