Customer Service Manager

Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Visitor Experience Coordinator. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that our visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience at our playground.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the front desk and administrative tasks, including scheduling, timesheets, and data collection.
- Lead the process of hiring and training part-time seasonal staff, including creating and coordinating training sessions.
- Supervise security associates and part-time seasonal staff who work in the playground.
- Act as a working supervisor on the playground as Manager on Duty, including opening, closing, and communicating changes to seasonal staff.
- Evaluate job performance of staff, including issuing warnings and creating write-ups.
- Manage all aspects of the front desk, including answering phones, returning messages, and booking and processing online reservations.
- Ensure that visitor needs are met, basic safety guidelines and rules are communicated, and conflicts are handled appropriately.
- Support efforts to increase membership and provide support for events, grant-funded programs, and other efforts as needed.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in customer service, hospitality, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising staff, working with youth, and managing work schedules. A commitment to excellent customer service and a passion for working with children are essential.
The successful candidate will be able to work weekends, some evenings, and varying hours, and will be able to lift 25 pounds and work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
