About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager to join our team at Reed in Partnership. As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of employment advisers to support caseloads of jobseekers into employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of employment advisers to achieve targets and deliver high-quality services.
  • Performance Management: Implement strategies to upskill local community members and overcome barriers to employment, and manage performance metrics to drive business growth.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and community groups.
  • Financial Management: Manage profit and loss reports and monthly financial forecasting to ensure business sustainability.
  • Training and Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in sales, customer service, or recruitment industries, with a strong understanding of business operations and management.
  • Education: Minimum of 2 A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 Diploma, and GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification).
  • Skills: Strong administration and IT skills, assertiveness, resilience, and good decision-making skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Interest in People: Passion for working with people and a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Knowledge of Welfare Systems: Understanding of welfare and benefits systems, and ability to navigate complex regulations.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Degree or relevant qualification in a field such as psychology, sociology, social care, or science, or relevant qualifications such as Information Advice and Guidance NVQs, Brokerage Standard, or Social Work qualifications.
