Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Freelance Social Media and Video Content Creator to join our team at Global. As a Freelance Social Media and Video Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing and creating engaging social content for various interactive platforms across Capital XTRA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and create engaging social content across Capital XTRA's social channels and support the on-air team across the Capital XTRA schedule.
  • Work closely and collaborate with the rest of the Capital XTRA team including editorial writers, video producers, radio producers and presenters to develop creative, plan content and execute the wider digital strategy.
  • Work with the internal video team to develop ideas, produce series and showcase on-air clips that drive views and increase engagement.
  • Design and create socially optimised templates and assets for Capital XTRA.
  • Work with the Digital Managing Editor to implement the digital content strategy for Capital XTRA.
  • Monitor the editorial output of key competitors to ensure Capital XTRA is leading the way in terms of creating editorial cross-platform content.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of the brand and the UK music scene, with a passion for social trends and entertainment.
  • Excellent understanding of social media and creating engaging, optimised content for different platforms with a particular focus on TikTok and Instagram.
  • Self-starting, enterprising and ready to deliver ideas with a proactive approach.
  • Experience in designing and creating social media assets.
  • Experience in managing social channels.
  • Experience in video editing and production.
  • Experience in using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Relevant brand experience or excellent brand knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of Capital XTRA's key broadcast channels.
  • Keen to work for a busy, fast-paced and high-profile music brand.
  • Loves working across different fields: design, video, audio.
