Role Overview:

The Senior Ecommerce Trading Executive plays a crucial role within the Ecommerce trading team. This forward-thinking position is tasked with maximizing online sales and conversion opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading Duties:

  • Oversee daily trading activities.
  • Achieve sales and conversion objectives aligned with budgetary goals.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Digital & Customer Experience to develop sales forecasts, incorporating essential metrics.
  • Work alongside the Digital Product & Content Manager to continuously enhance mobile and desktop site performance, coordinating with our platform provider for improvements.
  • Optimize onsite search functionalities to elevate customer experience and conversion rates.
  • Partner with the Digital Product & Content Manager to refine the product conversion funnel from category view to checkout.
  • Manage seasonal product launches, collaborating with merchandising, production, and content teams to ensure timely and effective product presentation.
  • Prepare websites for sales and seasonal marketing initiatives, aligning with the Digital Marketing team.
  • Maintain a productive relationship with trading partners to ensure seamless operations.

Online Visual Merchandising:

  • Ensure product listing pages are well-merchandised, brand-consistent, and optimized.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Content Assistant to deliver timely, commercially viable product content that accurately represents the brand.
  • Maximize cross-selling opportunities across all site categories, ensuring effective use of product recommendation tools.
  • Conduct weekly quality control checks to uphold high standards across all platforms.
  • Coordinate with the Communication team to promote products featured in media, enhancing site visibility.

Product Management:

  • Monitor Ecommerce stock levels in relation to sales performance, using insights to forecast needs and address issues with merchandising teams.
  • Ensure adequate stock availability to meet sales objectives.
  • Timely removal of broken size runs from the site.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Retail teams on future season purchases, including best seller reports and performance analysis.
  • Develop product expertise within the Customer Service team, in conjunction with Retail and Merchandising teams.
  • Ensure product photography and videos highlight key features and unique selling propositions.
  • Work closely with the Digital Content Assistant to ensure product descriptions effectively communicate selling points and fit information.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing & Content team on product selection for marketing communications.
  • Engage with the Customer Service team and utilize feedback tools to enhance the overall customer experience.

Systems and Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on sales, key metrics, and product performance for weekly trading discussions.
  • Assist the Head of Digital & Customer Experience in generating ad hoc reports, including monthly availability, sales performance, and returns analysis.
  • Identify sales and conversion trends against forecasts and historical performance.
  • Analyze category performance to assess merchandising effectiveness and identify product opportunities.
  • Utilize analytics tools to optimize product sales and enhance customer experience.

Additional responsibilities as reasonably expected.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven Ecommerce experience in managing online product portfolios.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and implement changes swiftly.
  • Experience in trading within both US and UK/ROW retail markets.
  • Familiarity with visual merchandising principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in analytical platforms and data interpretation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Ecommerce dynamics.
  • Preferred experience with Magento.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen aesthetic sense.
  • Positive attitude and drive to achieve results.
