Role Overview:
The Ecommerce Trading Specialist is a vital member of the Ecommerce trading division. This forward-thinking position is dedicated to maximizing online sales and conversion potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Trading Management
- Oversee daily trading activities.
- Achieve sales and conversion goals aligned with established budgets.
- Collaborate with the Head of Digital & Customer Experience on sales forecasts, incorporating all essential metrics.
- Work alongside the Digital Product & Content Manager to continuously enhance mobile and desktop platforms, partnering with our service provider for improvements.
- Optimize onsite search functionalities to elevate customer experience and conversion rates.
- Revise and enhance the product conversion funnel in collaboration with the Digital Product & Content Manager.
- Manage seasonal product launches, coordinating with merchandising, production, and content teams to ensure timely and effective completion of product imagery and descriptions.
- Prepare websites for promotional sales and seasonal marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Digital Marketing team.
- Maintain a strong trading relationship with external partners to ensure seamless operations.
Visual Merchandising Online
- Ensure product listing pages are effectively presented, brand-aligned, and optimized.
- Collaborate with the Digital Content Assistant to guarantee timely delivery of commercial product content that accurately represents both the product and brand.
- Maximize cross-selling opportunities across all site categories, ensuring optimal use of product recommendation tools.
- Conduct weekly quality control checks to uphold high standards across all platforms.
- Coordinate with the Communications team to proactively promote products featured in media for increased visibility.
Product Management
- Maintain Ecommerce stock levels in line with sales performance, using insights to forecast and address any additional needs or challenges.
- Control stock availability to support our sales objectives.
- Ensure timely removal of out-of-stock sizes from the website.
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Retail teams on future season purchases, including best seller analysis and performance evaluation.
- Develop product expertise and share knowledge with Customer Service and Retail teams.
- Ensure product photography and videos highlight key features and unique selling points.
- Work closely with the Digital Content Assistant to ensure product descriptions emphasize essential selling points and maintain updated fit information.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing & Content teams on product selection for email campaigns and photoshoots.
- Engage with Customer Service and feedback tools to enhance the overall customer experience.
Systems and Reporting
- Monitor and report on sales, key metrics, and product performance for weekly trading discussions.
- Assist the Head of Digital & Customer Experience in generating ad hoc reports, including monthly availability, sales performance, and returns analysis.
- Identify sales and conversion trends against forecasts and historical performance.
- Analyze category performance to assess merchandising effectiveness, product sell-through rates, and opportunities.
- Utilize analytics tools to optimize product sales and enhance customer experience.
Additional responsibilities as reasonably expected.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven Ecommerce experience in managing online product offerings.
- Strong trading mindset with the ability to analyze data and implement changes swiftly.
- Experience in both US and UK/ROW retail markets.
- Background in visual merchandising.
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and across various teams.
- Proficiency in analytical platforms and data interpretation.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Ecommerce drivers.
- Preferred experience with Magento.
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and a keen aesthetic sense.
- Positive attitude and determination to achieve results.
