Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and professional supervision to team members
- Conduct thorough assessments of social care needs and develop comprehensive support plans
- Determine the necessity of statutory intervention in complex cases
- Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports
- Lead in various case conferences and court sessions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners and agencies, fostering a collaborative environment
- Contribute to the development of practice standards, ensuring excellence in social work
Requirements and Expectations:
- Recognized social work qualification and extensive experience in social work
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and agencies
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
Working Arrangements:
The role requires mobility throughout a wider operational area, including travel to various locations within Essex and beyond. A driving license and car are essential for this position.
