Lead Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join our team at Structural Engineering Alliance Group.

As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our engineering cost centre(s) and overseeing a team of structural engineers in our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the team of structural engineers and provide support where necessary
  • Use the latest design software to create and manage designs
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression
  • Implement company policies and ensure adherence across your team
  • Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources for projects undertaken
  • Develop existing customer relationships and promote our services
  • Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Structural Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in structural engineering
  • Demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management
  • Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment
  • Use of industry design standards
  • Problem solver, able to offer solutions to challenges
  • Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Confident, articulate, collaborative & proactive
  • Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support
