About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Administrator Assistant to join our team at Lane Clark & Peacock. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform benefit calculations using manual methods, proformas, and pension administration system calculation routines.
  • Work through checklists for individual cases and follow established procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate authorisation is obtained before releasing information.
  • Prepare bulk mailings of annual newsletters, pension increases, and other communications.
  • Communicate effectively with members and third-party stakeholders.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of clients through daily work, collaboration with colleagues, and reference to scheme administration guides.
  • Identify scheme-specific requirements and ensure compliance with LCP procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and regulations.
  • Understand preservation, statutory increases, contracting-out, and the current pensions tax regime.
  • Draft non-standard letters as required.
  • Recognise non-standard cases, such as part-timers, and apply relevant procedures.
  • Apply the General Data Protection Regulations at all times.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be familiar with pension schemes and administration procedures.
