Operating Department Practitioner

Cromwell Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Nurse to join our team in the Operating Department. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, non-registered and less experienced staff.
- Create and maintain accurate and legible records of care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for surgical procedures, ensuring that any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.
- Help to control cross-infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, cleanliness, decontamination, and sterilization procedures.
- Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
- RN – 1st level Registration Adult and/or Children / Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
