Job Summary:

Morgan Law is seeking an experienced HR generalist to join our dynamic team as an Interim Senior HR Consultant. This is a 10-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, providing an exciting opportunity to work with our clients in the policing sector.

About the Role:

As an Interim Senior HR Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on complex employment matters to internal customers of Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Constabularies. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Attendance and performance management
  • Conduct and grievance procedures
  • Pay matters and change management

You will work closely with departmental managers and the People Business Partner to establish effective working relationships and provide localized HR support. Your management responsibilities will include a team of HR Consultants, and you will be accountable for the performance and delivery of HR services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employment matters
  • Manage a team of HR Consultants and ensure the delivery of HR services
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to better support customers
  • Work with internal and external peers to develop efficient and innovative HR practices

Requirements:

  • Experience in HR generalist roles, with a strong background in employment law and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Flexibility to work across sites in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire
