Starting Salary: £25,480 (inclusive of 1 sleep-in per week). We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Support Worker for our Supported Living Scheme. You will be an integral part of a team that provides round-the-clock assistance to adults facing intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges across multiple services.

Our Supported Living team is committed to empowering our residents to manage their daily activities, enabling them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

As a Support Worker, your role will involve:

  • Advocating for their rights and encouraging self-expression
  • Addressing emotional and communication needs
  • Assisting with essential life skills, including budgeting, shopping, laundry, cooking, and cleaning
  • Facilitating community engagement through appointments and social events
  • Creating enjoyable experiences filled with laughter

Whether you are guiding a resident through grocery shopping or helping them prepare a meal, this position allows you to enhance skills such as attention to detail and effective communication.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Compassion and patience
  • Open-mindedness and eagerness to learn
  • Resilience and problem-solving abilities
  • A positive and fun-loving attitude
  • Care Certificate (not mandatory)
  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving License (preferred but not essential)

We are looking for individuals with a positive outlook, adaptability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

WORKING HOURS

The Support Worker role is full-time, comprising 37.5 hours per week with a mix of early and late shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Some sleep-ins are also required at a rate of £67.50 per night.
