Job Description

FIND | Creating Futures is a specialist staffing business, servicing the Skills, Learning, Higher Education & Apprenticeship markets across the UK.

Our client is an established independent training provider, operating in the HE space. They have been delivering a range of degree courses in accountancy, business & management in partnership with two large Universities.

We are seeking a skilled professional to provide tailored support to students and employers. The successful candidate will deal with student, academic and employer enquiries for all aspects of placement activity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish and maintain sustainable relationships with employers and different industry sectors, and continue developing placement and professional development for students.
  2. Maintain and grow a database of placement providers with suitable opportunities and connect employers with students.
  3. Ensure accurate work placement and student records are maintained using the placement tracker and compile reports as needed.
  4. Develop online resources to support students undertaking work placement opportunities.
  5. Conduct one-to-one meetings at the start of each term with students participating in the work placement programme to help prepare them for placements.
  6. Deliver a series of pre-placement preparation workshops to support students prior to starting their placement.
  7. Support with developing on-campus activities, presenting information, delivering workshops and on-campus events such as job fairs.
  8. Lead on the development and implementation of internal employability framework (CREATE).
  9. Provide advice to students on the development of CVs and covering letters, directing them to resources for activities such as interviews and other recruitment processes.
  10. Lead on the development of internal placement opportunities for students.
  11. Work proactively with students to encourage take-up of placements through activities such as phoning or emailing students.
  12. Facilitate the full recruitment cycle, including advertising opportunities to students, shortlisting candidates, screening applicants, briefing candidates face-to-face or over the phone, arranging interviews, providing feedback and making offers.
