About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our catering team at Horder Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Catering Manager and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of high-quality food to our patients and staff.
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining high standards.
  • Contribute to menu planning and preparation, staying up-to-date with current food and dietary trends.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve our core values: Caring, Friendly, Quality, Integrity, and Pride.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds 706 Level 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent C.I.E.H. Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and forward-thinking, with a passion for continued learning.
