Job Title: Communications and Marketing Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Marketing Specialist to join our team at Opus People Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and providing external and internal communications services, including corporate communications, marketing, publications, advertising, and promotional campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Corporate Communications: Provide corporate advice and implementation for senior managers, service areas, and elected members on three or more of the following areas:
  2. Advertising and Campaigns: Develop and implement effective advertising and campaign strategies to promote the Council's services and initiatives.
  3. Service Marketing Management: Manage and coordinate marketing activities for various services, including Place & Economy, Adult Social Care, and Children's Services.
  4. Copywriting and Content Production: Create high-quality content for various media channels, including web and intranet content.
  5. Digital Design and Branding: Develop and maintain the Council's corporate visual identity and design standards.
  6. Internal Communications: Assist in the creation and maintenance of effective systems for internal communications throughout the Council.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Suitable level of experience in a relevant communications role.
  • Knowledge and Understanding: Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the principles of communications and marketing.
  • Skills: Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate well with clients from all levels across the organisation, and interact competently with staff, members, public, media, and external agencies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in IT packages, including Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe design packages.
