Position Overview

Manpower UK is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Student Attendance Coordinator for a reputable educational institution.

This role operates from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a competitive salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of attendance and punctuality records.
  • Manage the processing of absences by documenting relevant information and executing necessary follow-up actions.
  • Enhance attendance rates by collaborating with staff to address attendance challenges faced by students.
  • Identify students with attendance concerns and communicate these to designated staff members.
  • Implement required actions for students who arrive late or leave early in the term.
  • Provide support to the examination team as needed.

Daily Duties Include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing student attendance data.
  • Generating reports on unauthorized absences during critical registration periods.
  • Locating any missing students through coordination with boarding staff and parents/guardians.
  • Following up with tutors regarding incomplete reports.
  • Processing notifications for students who are ill.
  • Updating relevant staff about absences through the management information system.
  • Handling future absence requests through the established process.
  • Pre-marking registers for anticipated absences using the management information system.
  • Documenting student illnesses within the management information system.

Weekly Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing the absence appeal process.
  • Reviewing attendance and punctuality reports and communicating findings to relevant staff.
  • Ensuring timely completion of actions by staff regarding attendance issues.
  • Maintaining close communication with students facing attendance challenges and relevant staff.
  • Updating the attendance spreadsheet in collaboration with the Business Intelligence Manager.
  • Tracking data to identify trends and concerns.
  • Managing attendance-related action plans by coordinating necessary actions and maintaining accurate records.

Ongoing Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing various attendance data to staff upon request.
  • Meeting with staff to discuss individual student attendance concerns and necessary interventions.
  • Advising the institution on strategies to promote regular attendance and assisting in their implementation.
  • Updating school records, analyzing attendance data, and generating reports.
  • Maintaining clear and concise records of all interventions and consultations.
  • Staying informed about statutory frameworks and policies related to school attendance.
  • Collaborating with pastoral support and academic staff on attendance matters and leading initiatives to improve attendance.
  • Engaging in initiatives that raise awareness about the importance of consistent school attendance.
  • Performing any additional duties related to student attendance and punctuality.

Examination Support Responsibilities Include:

Assisting the Examinations Department by:

  • Coordinating invigilators for examinations.
  • Supporting the organization of weekly examinations across teaching facilities.
  • Preparing examination rooms and managing the secure handling of examination materials.
  • Guiding students on examination day regarding seating, materials, and examination protocols.
