About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students who face behavioural and emotional challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised support to students with behavioural difficulties, implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by senior staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the emotional well-being of students.
  • Assist in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting any concerns to relevant staff members.
  • Promote a culture of respect, tolerance, and empathy within the school community.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with students with behavioural difficulties or SEN is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and compassionate approach to working with students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
