Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Scheduler to join our team at Collins Aerospace, a unit of Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of products through the complete production cycle.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and cost management. You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing open sales orders to determine customer requirements
  • Coordinating delivery of parts to expedite the flow of material to meet production schedules
  • Expediting suppliers' purchase orders if required
  • Utilizing MRP systems to auto-generate manufacturing work orders
  • Releasing component production work orders to the warehouse for kit picking
  • Coordinating between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages
  • Notifying sales of any schedule impacts to customers
  • Coordinating/managing manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved
  • Completing status reports, such as production progress, customer information, and materials inventory
  • Exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Requirements:

  • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Ability to interact well with internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Proficient use of computer systems and software applications
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous production planning experience in a related industry
  • Good communication skills
