Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our experienced team to deliver outstanding care.

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting a team of Care Assistants, ensuring that our residents receive the highest standard of care. You will work closely with our Home Manager and ancillary teams to deliver person-centred care plans and risk assessments, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect for all residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care and support to residents
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans and risk assessments, promoting independence and choice
  • Work closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care
  • Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting dignity and respect
Requirements
  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable
