Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Excelcare Holdings is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our team to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting a team of Care Assistants, ensuring that outstanding care is delivered at all times. You will work closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional care and support to residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
  • Mentor and support a team of Care Assistants, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding care.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to achieve high standards of care.
  • Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Requirements
  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care OR three years' experience without an NVQ.
  • Experience in a nursing or care home OR as a home care worker.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks – Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering with dementia is desirable.
