Supply Chain Management Specialist

About the Role
This is a critical position within the Online Commercial team at Samsung, offering the exciting opportunity to build a best-in-class service to our customers through stock management, logistics, and customer service partner teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with retail operations and commercial teams to ensure stores have the right products and stock to improve sales opportunities.
- Continuously improve the forecasting model to ensure it is always relevant.
- Gather market insights from relevant parties to support the forecasting model.
- Attend trading meetings with internal/external clients.
- Analysis of forecast accuracy and constantly improving the model for the future.
- Management of various products categories for the concession stores.
- Build demand forecasts, both short and long term across assigned product ranges.
- Monitor and analyze forecasts in conjunction with factories, retail sales & marketing and product divisions.
- Providing store sales forecasts to relevant purchasing teams to ensure sufficient stocks are procured for the stores.
- Building good relationships with supply chain teams to ensure the allocation of stock is aligned to the forecast.
- Negotiate with supply chain teams to bring forward future demand or obtain additional stock from other channels during peak trading periods or unexpected out-of-stock situations.
Requirements
- Supply Chain, Demand Planning and forecasting experience within a retail, FMCG business.
- Knowledge of advanced planning techniques - S&OP, capacity planning etc.
- Advanced Excel skills essential (including pivot tables, vlook ups etc).
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Must have an analytical attitude.
