Kidde Fire Safety Systems, a leading manufacturer of fire safety products, is seeking a highly skilled Area Sales Manager to join their sales team in the Midlands region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with architects, contractors, large house builders, and local governments, providing expert knowledge of Kidde's products and services. This will involve delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions, managing the distribution channel, attending trade shows, and supporting other sales team members.

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in sales and a strong network of contacts in the construction and fire safety industries. You will be proactive, driven, and tenacious, with a passion for sales and a genuine interest in the life safety/fire safety sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the construction and fire safety industries
  • Deliver CPD sessions to ensure architects, contractors, and local governments have a working knowledge of Kidde's products and services
  • Manage the distribution channel to ensure efficient and effective product delivery
  • Attend trade shows and networking events to promote Kidde's products and services
  • Support other sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Conduct and produce marketing analysis to inform sales strategies
  • Report to the sales manager on sales performance and market trends

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably in the construction or fire safety industries
  • Strong network of contacts in the construction and fire safety industries
  • Proactive, driven, and tenacious with a passion for sales
  • Genuine interest in the life safety/fire safety sector
  • Ability to work from home and travel/stay away for short periods
