HR and Safety Support Coordinator

Location: Evenwood, County Durham
Salary: Competitive remuneration package
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-13:00
Reporting Structure: Directly reports to the HR Business Partner with a secondary reporting line to the Group Head of Health & Safety
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR Business Partner and Group Head of Health & Safety in daily operations
- Revise and update HR policies and procedures
- Manage employee relations and organizational changes
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for staff
- Oversee training programs and attendance management
- Provide support for HR communications and general inquiries
- Maintain and update organizational charts and manage scheduling
- Administer health and safety responsibilities
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in HR and Health & Safety roles
- CIPD Qualification or equivalent credential
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Capability to uphold confidentiality and collaborate effectively within a team
- Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and ability to prioritize tasks
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within a manufacturing sector
