Location: Evenwood, County Durham

Salary: Competitive remuneration package

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-13:00

Reporting Structure: Directly reports to the HR Business Partner with a secondary reporting line to the Group Head of Health & Safety

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the HR Business Partner and Group Head of Health & Safety in daily operations
  • Revise and update HR policies and procedures
  • Manage employee relations and organizational changes
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for staff
  • Oversee training programs and attendance management
  • Provide support for HR communications and general inquiries
  • Maintain and update organizational charts and manage scheduling
  • Administer health and safety responsibilities

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in HR and Health & Safety roles
  • CIPD Qualification or equivalent credential
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Capability to uphold confidentiality and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and ability to prioritize tasks

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience within a manufacturing sector

Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 years in human resources (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

CIPD certification is preferred

Work Environment: In-person attendance required
