Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant Role

Parker Smith Inclusion is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a brand new class for early years pupils with ASD.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small group of non-verbal children who are awaiting their EHCP and will likely be diagnosed with ASD. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting these children to access education and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with special educational needs in a small group setting
  • Use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations
  • Build rapport with children and provide individualized support
Requirements
  • Passion for working with young people who require additional support
  • Ideal experience supporting children with autism or other special educational needs
  • Proactive and positive individual with a commitment to meeting children's learning needs
