Contract Type: Fixed-term until end of June 2026

Salary: £32,955 - £39,933 per annum

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Participation Officer to join our team in the Arts and Culture Service. The successful candidate will work closely with the Programme and Partnership Manager to develop, deliver, and monitor a range of cultural programmes for young creatives aged 14+ within the London Borough of Culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver cultural programmes for young creatives aged 14+ within the London Borough of Culture
  • Work closely with the Programme and Partnership Manager to lead on these programmes
  • Facilitate sessions, collaborate with artists, and utilize project management skills to produce events and activities
  • Ensure the inclusion of youth voice in the programme
  • Deliver programmes that support young people's access to creative careers
  • Work directly with participants, including those with disabilities
  • Provide safeguarding training as part of the induction process
  • Work some evenings and weekends as required
Requirements
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Good youth facilitation skills and proven understanding of youth participation panels
  • Experience of delivering art projects
  • Good evaluation skills and basic understanding of data processing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults
