Role Overview:The Head of Sales will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and leading the UK sales operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to expand market presence and achieve revenue targets
- Identifying and prioritizing key market segments, including fleet operators, municipalities, commercial property developers, and residential users
- Building, managing, and inspiring a high-performing sales team across regions
- Setting clear performance targets, coaching, and mentoring team members, and fostering a results-driven, collaborative sales culture
- Conducting regular performance reviews and providing actionable feedback to ensure the team meets KPIs
- Staying informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities in the EV charging space
- Analyzing market data to refine sales strategies, product positioning, and customer acquisition tactics
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, including large corporations, government entities, and infrastructure providers
- Working closely with marketing to create and implement lead generation and brand awareness campaigns
- Providing regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis to senior leadership
- Using data-driven insights to adjust strategies and optimize sales operations
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience in sales leadership roles, ideally within the EV charging, renewable energy, or tech sector
- A strong background in B2B and enterprise sales with a focus on hardware solutions
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing sales teams
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and motivational skills with the ability to foster a positive sales culture
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies in a rapidly evolving market
- Strong business acumen and the ability to manage complex sales cycles and negotiations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for building relationships at all levels of an organisation
