About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatcher to join our team at South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient allocation of patient transport vehicles to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and deploy journeys to operational resources to ensure patient appointment times are met.
  • Liaise with NEPTS Call Handlers to coordinate patient transport.
  • Utilize mapping and data functionality to optimize resource utilization.
  • Manage and monitor patient activity using the Trust's Patient Transport Information System.
  • Respond to changes within the Patient Transport Service to meet customer requirements.
Requirements
  • GCSE English, Maths, and ICT or equivalent at grade 4 or above.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Geographical knowledge of SCAS commercial areas.
  • Skilled use of Windows and Microsoft software operating systems and Word, Excel.
