The Salvation Army, a prominent faith-based organization in the UK, is seeking a dedicated Support Services Specialist to enhance our Anti-Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery Operation Unit. This role is pivotal in providing essential services and guidance to individuals who have faced trafficking, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Our team is committed to delivering specialized support to all adult survivors of modern slavery across England and Wales, operating under a government contract that has evolved to offer comprehensive assistance throughout the recovery process. Since the inception of our initiative, we have successfully supported numerous survivors, reflecting our commitment to this critical cause.

Key Responsibilities:
 As a Support Services Specialist , you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to our vulnerable clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading initiatives within specialized areas or programs to enhance service delivery.
  • Addressing the aftermath of trauma caused by trafficking and related abuses.
  • Conducting thorough assessments of risks and needs for trafficked individuals.
  • Managing a diverse caseload and developing tailored support plans.
  • Advocating for high-risk clients with various agencies.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in a relevant field, or a commitment to pursue it.
  • Experience in supported accommodation and housing management, particularly in crisis situations.
  • Familiarity with providing guidance and support to trafficking survivors, along with knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • An understanding of the impact of crime on victims and the broader community.
  • Skills in coordinating services with both statutory and voluntary organizations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in managing financial transactions effectively.
