We are in search of a Bid Writer who embodies our dedication to quality, service, and environmental stewardship.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will engage in all facets of the bidding process. While prior experience in bid writing is preferred, we are open to candidates who can demonstrate the ability to write clearly and effectively and are eager to learn about the technologies we implement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compose clear, focused, and logical proposal materials (and other business development documents) ensuring consistency in style, branding, and tone.
  • Develop and compile tailored, high-quality Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and tender submissions that align with customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal business development managers and operational teams to create bespoke, high-quality PQQ and Invitation to Tender (ITT) submissions that reflect a thorough understanding of client inquiries.
  • Translate complex technical information into written proposals that are accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Thoroughly review submissions against the provided scoring matrix and criteria.
  • Assist the business development team in preparing marketing materials and negotiated proposal submissions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven, strong creative writing abilities.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, with a solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Sound business acumen.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with electronic tender platforms.
  • Proficiency in InDesign and Illustrator, along with desktop publishing skills.
  • Experience in proposal, bid, and tender writing within a dynamic office environment.
  • Understanding of the energy, environmental, and/or construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of the public sector housing market.
  • Attention to detail, assertiveness, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
