We are currently in search of a Bid Writer who embodies our dedication to quality, service, and sustainability.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of the bidding process. While prior experience in bid writing is preferred, we welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate strong writing skills and a willingness to learn about the technologies we implement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft clear, focused, and coherent proposal materials and other business development documents, ensuring consistency in style, branding, and tone.
  • Develop and compile tailored, high-quality Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and tender submissions that align with client needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal business development managers and operational teams to create bespoke, high-quality PQQ and Invitation to Tender (ITT) submissions that reflect a thorough understanding of client inquiries.
  • Convert technical information into written proposals that are accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of responses against established scoring matrices and criteria.
  • Assist the business development team in preparing marketing materials and negotiated proposal submissions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven strong creative writing abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, along with solid knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Sound business acumen.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with electronic tender platforms.
  • Proficiency in InDesign and Illustrator, along with desktop publishing skills.
  • Experience in proposals, bids, and tender writing within a dynamic office environment.
  • Understanding of the energy, environmental, and/or construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of the public sector housing market.
  • Attention to detail, assertiveness, and articulate communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
