Role Overview

At NFU Mutual, our Pricing division is central to our commitment to delivering precise and competitive insurance rates. Our Risk Pricing team is evolving, leading to the establishment of two specialized groups: one dedicated to personal lines and the other to commercial lines. As a result, we are looking for a new Risk Pricing Manager to head the commercial lines division, which includes a variety of products, from packaged insurance to large corporate coverage.

In the capacity of Risk Pricing Manager, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing innovative risk pricing strategies that significantly enhance the company's competitive position in the commercial insurance sector. Your role will encompass not only technical leadership but also mentorship and strategic direction, enabling your team to achieve their maximum potential.

You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Propositions. This collaborative approach allows you to draw on diverse expertise and viewpoints, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Candidate Profile

With a robust foundation in decision-making, you will possess the capability to navigate intricate scenarios and make well-informed choices that propel organizational goals forward. Alongside your leadership and people management skills, you will have successfully guided teams towards achievement, nurturing a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Additionally, you will bring:

A solid technical background in General Insurance pricing, with a proven track record in establishing and upholding the technical pricing for insurance products. Experience in working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring alignment. Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of conveying complex information to a diverse audience, adapting your approach to resonate effectively and drive meaningful engagement. Strong influencing abilities, with the confidence to challenge conventional wisdom and articulate compelling arguments.
