Head of Procurement Manager

Michael Page Procurement & Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement Manager to join their fast-paced business in Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a category management strategy for the procurement function, based in Northampton.
  • Lead a commercial and customer-focused team, with a total of 15-20 reports.
  • Sourcing and contract negotiation with suppliers, primarily in low-cost countries, including the Far East.
  • Ensure the sourcing of top-tier products sustainably for customers.
  • Maintain uninterrupted supply to the end customer.
  • Stay up-to-date with innovation and market trends, including sustainability.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership experience and qualities.
  • Experience in sourcing within a low-cost country supply base, preferably in the Far East.
  • Commercially focused mindset and strong internal and external stakeholder management skills, within a matrix supply chain operation.
