We are in search of a seasoned transport expert to join our Transport Department and oversee a diverse team of specialists across various services. As a key member of the senior management team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from Environment, Public Realm, Capital Projects, Highways, Parking, and the Economy departments, as well as other council directorates.
As the central hub for knowledge and innovation in the Environment sector, you will identify opportunities for pilot initiatives and lead efforts to fulfill the Council's objectives while ensuring effective governance, monitoring, quality assurance, and successful delivery. The team will focus on aligning priorities and fostering long-term partnerships with strategic stakeholders to realize the Council's ambitions.
This role presents a unique chance to influence the transport, public realm, and climate change initiatives. It is an exciting opportunity to shape future priorities for infrastructure and place through policy development, project conception, and major scheme sponsorship within a multidisciplinary and dynamic environment.
